 Slightly more sensical than the Christian Bale button.
You walk into a room and there is a shiny red button. Your instructions are: Push the button and you get 1 million dollars (I assumed 1M CAD, but you can assume USD or Zimbabwe dollars). You can push the button as many times you want.
Here's THE CATCH: every time you push that button someone some where in the world dies. You may or may not know that person so all that matters is whether or not you push the button.
Would you push it?
Personally, I would only push it 5 times. My friend would push it 10 times, but he'd give money to charity to resolve his guilt. Your response? |

 It was like that when I got home!
Two weeks ago, I put in my MSN status the following message: Utterly disgusted
Received one msn message from my very bored friend in Thunder Bay, requesting the story regarding that.
Today, I put this in my MSN status: Having a modded 360, but unable to play burnt games
Received a dozen msn messages from people showing concern.
Now, I don't update my MSN status daily with the intention of wanting people to ask me what it's about (although I'll usually tell you); I do it for myself. But I DON'T GET YOU PEOPLE.
Anyways, my 360 works fine. But I was relating to ironic statements (ie/ having a large peens, but not being able to have sex). There may (or may not be) a situation that is happening to me right now that's just as ironic, and that's why I put my MSN message like that. But what do you call the relationship between the 360 statement and the peens statement? Is one ironic statement a metaphor of the other one? I dunno, I suck at English.

Whenever I get asked what my favourite season is, I immediately answer with Winter. Why? Cause I absorb it for 6 months of the year (give or take). Everything looks all beautiful, being covered in a white pureness.
But every year, it just takes a single moment to remind me what season I truly love. Autumn.
It's usually the first time when I start to see the leaves fall, that drop kicks my ADHD.
Smell of the leaves. So delish.

 THIS IS MY BOOM STICK MIC
Hah, I'm not certain why I downloaded this movie. I figure it's because I was looking to 'demo' Street Fighter IV for the PC (sadly, my video card is old leik xbox).
Terrible movie. Chun-Li turns from a little asian kid into a caucasian. Wut?
And having Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog was confusing. I just kept thinking of The Green Mile.
And I enjoyed their attempt to try and create an opening for a sequel. It's sorta like the ending of Batman Begins, except Street Fighter will never see the day of light again. Only due to low box office records. Pfff.
If you intend on seeing this movie, might as well multitask and do something else in the process.
TORRIBLE.
Gawd, and if you were wondering, I dunno which is a better movie.
Chun-Li or Dragon Ball.
Hmm.... pick my poison...

 Poker. Srs bizniz.
So my Friday was basically chill. Friend invited me to watch The Ugly Truth in at Eau Claire (on opening night, lulz). Due to my genes, I was driving around downtown trying to find free parking. Eventually, I found parking by the river, wasn't too far from the theatre. When I got there, my friend and her friends were there. Some of them actually went into the theatre, but the AC was broken. Meanwhile, it was around 27C (80F) outside. So having no AC with a crap load of sweaty teenagers = nothx.
I actually strolled into the theatre, and it felt like going into a steamroom. Disgusting >< I'm surprised moar peope didn't walk out.
So we ended up Christian bailing out of there, and loitered around a coffee shop. As time went on, people had to leave.
I eventually went over to poker night with the bois.
Every season (~2.5 months), we award the winner of our social poker group a bracelet. We inscribe their name on the bracelet, and we do a little informal presentation. As I mentioned before, I took over the responsibility of engraving the bracelet. I was the one who did the bottom bracelet, which is slightly hard to see due to the lighting, but it looks nice. Larger text = better.
Poker night was good. I missed the first game, but I got 2nd place in the second game, and I won the 3rd game.
Only 27 moar games till the end of season 10 ^^

 Slightly hotter than Vegas.
Being the crazy guy I am, I'm leaving my 20C (~70F) home town, to go to 40C (~100F) Las Vegas for a 3rd time.
Leaving on Canada Day (lol) and coming back home July 5th. Going to be baking on the sidewalk. Good times :D
Got to go! See you again!

Attempting to jump into the American market with (against?, lol) Boa and Se7en, we have the Wonder Girls.
In this case, the Wonder Girls decided to re-sing one of their Korean songs in English, in opposed to making a new song.
The video is the same as the Korean version. Just redubbed slightly.
The Korean version of this song has been in my playlist forever. <3 this song.
Good luck to these gurls. Apparently, they are the opening act for the Jonas' brother concert tour.

 And all I got was this lousy chip...
So, to get ready for Vegas round 3, my friends unintentionally convinced me to go to one of the city's casino's, to play some one-two no limit texas hold-em poker. I've been playing poker house games for the past 1.5 years, but they always told me that casino cash games are a different experience.
Long story short (hah, when do I ever get around to a long story...), I'm up 45 CAD after playing 2.5 hours. Pretty lousy pay rate, but I had full intentions of losing the 100 CAD that I initially invested. Gotta play it tight and keep the A game going.
I actually zoned out at the beginning of the game, and didn't realize that the dealer was talking to me, when I had full intentions of mucking my hands. I guess the suggestion of having an mp3 to listen to, inbetween all the downtime, wouldn't hurt.
Oh yah, my friend actually hit his gut-shot straight flush draw on the river (obviously, he had a flush draw, and a straight draw, which is why he called the all-ins). Due to the fact that it was a heart suit, he gets a casino payout of ~130 CAD. The odd thing is, he cannot claim the money until 3pm the next day. I guess the casino is trying to convince you to use that money and PLAY MOAR! But my friend is smarter than that, and he's going to do a 'hit and run'.
I'm not sure when I'll go again, or if I'll go again (to the city casinos). But I am glad I went (and even moar happy that I didn't lose my hard earn coding money). Vegas 2009 will be interesting.
July long weekend cho~! Going to be peeling myself off the sidewalk in 40C weather.

 That's what I'll keep telling myself, until I get ear cancer....
So I've been casually looking for an iPod docking station which has a remote control. Surprisingly, the most inexpensive one I could find was one from Sony, which is around $80 CAD at Superstore (but is $105 at Futureshop / BestBuy). So at Superstore, my eyes passed by this one made by Koss. No price, so I asked for a price check. $30 CAD.
Uh... k, it has a remote, and it's hella inexpensive. There's gotta be a reason.
I'm not much of an audiophile, so quality of sound was never an issue. It seems to be doing what it's suppose to (excluding me trying to find out how to turn off the permanent backlight). Still, I'm just waiting till this thing sets on fire, or eats my soul.
Let the fun begin...
